Letters to Santa—Yule Magic Wishes
A simple holiday ritual for children of all ages.

Back story: I’m a nomad shaman, traveling astrally as a shamanic guide. Come late fall, I retreat to the North Pole, where I continue my work as a long-distance guide, and also help in Santa’s workshop as one of his elves. End of backstory.

One of my Yule elf jobs is to relay your wishes to Santa.

Here’s how to send Santa your wish. In the comment field all the way at the bottom of the page, make a wish or wishes to Santa. He’s a “jolly elf.” So he has the magic to grant your heart’s desires.

I will give Santa your comment!

And remember: He knows if you’ve been naughty or nice, so be a good girl or boy or gender-marvel or faerie or wolf or rabbit or dragon or girl-boy-gender-marvel-faerie-wolf-rabbit-dragon or whatever you are. Eat your veggies and play nice with others. I can’t wait to see your wish, and I promise not to get too proud about Santa giving me this big job.

People’s letters to Santa in previous years have been heartwarming. If you want to enjoy them, wishes from 2022 back to 2015 are in the comment fields below. And check out ones from earlier years by clicking here.

Mystical Pagan Yule fun is the best!

  1. Dear Santa,

I wish for my family to be safe and find loving ways to communicate.
I wish for success in my buisness and abundant creative growth.
I wish everyone who is being chilled in the winter storms find warmth and safety.
I wish all my teachers be blessed with as much goodness and beauty as they create.
I wish for peace on earth and in the fey realms and goodwill for all.

    • Francesca De Grandis says:

Jenelle, Santa and I thank you for participating in this ritual. We love your wishes.

And thank you for blessing your teachers.

Prego che Babbo Natale vi porti tutto ciò che desiderate. (I pray that Santa brings you everything you want.)

  2. Ray says:

    Dear Santa,
Please end this war in Ucraine. Feed all of Africa (and everyone starving elsewhere). Mend this climate crisis and teach all of us to live joyfully within planetary boundaries.
Once your done and still have some spare time, I’d love another baby 🙂
And help Francesca have a safe, peaceful, easy move to Italy next year! And just bless her generally, she is such a blessing to us all.
    Thank you so much!

  3. Julie says:

Santa baby, I ask for creative flowering and confidence so that I can finish and publish my poetry book and my novel…that my music continue…that I continue to grow in bravery and confidence and generosity to share all that is in me…and that my spirit flashes like fire all through the new year and beyond!

Please give my very best to your five sisters, and of course to Ms. Outlaw Bunny!!!!

    Your pal,
    Julie

    • Francesca De Grandis says:

      Hello, Julie,

It is my responsibility as one of Santa‘s elves to convey your wishes to him, along with the rest of your message. I’ve done that, and he’s delighted.

Thank you for your kind greetings to me.

      Love, Francesca

  4. Trish Deneen says:

    Dear Pagan Santa,

Thank you for my health and fortitude over these last few years and for your joy and inspiration. I’m exhausted though, and I ask for the means to take a staycation where I can really relax for a week while healthy.

Help me have truthful and safe communication with loved ones with good outcomes for all.

Please help me continue to thrive in my career and pass a certification exam that will propel me forward.

Help me with continued creativity and improved business acumen in my crafting and writing endeavors.

Santa, bless Francesca De Grandis with much joy, prosperity, and peace for holding this space for us. Thank you, Santa, for your many blessings.

    Much love,
    Trish

    • Francesca De Grandis says:

Trish, Santa wants me to tell you that he loves you very much and thinks you’re doing a wonderful job. And I personally thank you for adding me to your wish list. That is wonderful of you. … I also want to thank you for spelling both my first and last name correctly, lol. Almost everyone manages to misspell either the first or last name. Love and power to you!

  5. Beth says:

    Dear Pagan Santa,

Thank you for bringing the joy of the season. Please grant me health and vitality and renew my ability to see the beauty and sweetness of the world.

  6. Vivien says:

    Dear Santa

Last two years was pretty hard. My coven broke, I needed to move back to my country, this year lost my job and it is very hard to keep good everyday magic work. I miss this, I miss Francesca’s guidance from her books, I miss so much practicing with my traditional coven. I miss being around people even.
It is getting hard with money and I even started small magical shop to fix home budget and still be close to witchcraft that way. While I can still make something I can gave other figurines and other altar necessities.
I have lovely partner by my side so I’m still thankful to all Gods for him and family that we started creating but still thoughts about job loss is strong and I’m worried.
Please, if you are going to have a spare few minutes think worm about my witchy shop. I hope we can make it with it and do a lot of good.

    Have a blessed Yule time.

    Yours sincerely

    Vivien B.

    P. S. I love You Francesca de Grandis <3

    • Francesca De Grandis says:

Vivien, I am so sorry to hear you have had such hard times.

Santa is going to help! Honest.

Thank you for your loving note. <3

  7. Thomas Byrnes says:

Dear Odin/Santa, I know that you hung on the windy tree nine days and thereby gained wisdom. I ask that you drop many tons of that wisdom upon the folk of Midgard so that they all stop acting like morons. Tis a consumation devoutly to be wished. Out with the Annus Horribilis! Welcome Yule! p.s. Hi there, Bunnykins! Whaddya hear, whaddya say? TB

    • Francesca De Grandis says:

Oh my goodness, Thomas, I was just thinking about you! How lovely to hear from you. I hope you and yours are well.

Santa wants you to know he appreciates the sincerity and depth of your letter to him and will do everything he can to oblige you. Absolutely!

As to what I’m hearing and saying in my life: I’m doing pretty well. The world is on fire so I’m having to work my shamanic tools harder than ever so I don’t collapse in a heap of gibbering insanity, but using my tools so much is working so I’m staying pretty sane and happy. (I have to save that sentence to keep using it because it sums up so much for me right now.)

And you? You are welcome to call me so we can continue this by phone, if you feel like it.

      Big hug.

  8. Marianne says:

    Dear Pagan God Santa,
Thank you for the joy and magic you spread throughout the universe! My request is to always remember that I am magic and to share my magic and joy freely.

    Blessings,
    marianne

    • Francesca De Grandis says:

Marianne, when I told Santa your wish, he said it’s a beautiful letter to Santa, and he will enjoy fulfilling your wish very much. ❤️

  9. Sedna says:

I believe in you, Yule Elf. I do not believe in the one with orange hair. No!
I believe that love prevails, always, no matter how bleak things may look at the moment.
I believe in hooking our arms together (everybody) and dancing; being kind even when we feel grumpy; and believing in the power of wish-granting fairies especially when we feel rotten (because it changes our brain chemistry), no matter what.

My request for Santa this year is this: I would very much like to feel that rush of Santa magic in my heart much more often this year…Thanks for everything from previous years!!!

Love, Love, and Jolliness to all,
    Stephanie

    • Francesca De Grandis says:

Sedna, Santa wants me to tell you that he believes in you too! Thanks for a beautiful post! Have a wonderful holiday season!

  10. Lola says:

    Dear Santa,
I wish that my faith increases, that my resistances grow small,
so that I can better Love, You and me and the whole wide world!

  11. Wendy says:

    Dear, Santa,

2016 has been a really good year for me and my family. The progress we’ve made towards our goals has been wonderful! I am beyond grateful at the ability to pay our bills every month, keep our vehicle legal and running, and pursue our individual passions. Life has not always been this way.

For 2017, I admit, I want more. I want to push past my personal blocks and programming to reach a whole new level personally and professionally. I want to facilitate my daughter’s continued learning and exploration of the world. I want to say yes more, I want to laugh more, I want to invite people to my house and gather more, I want to move through my days free of anxiety and depression.

I want to leave behind doubt, I see the correlation between my own doubt and the state of my world so clearly now.

I have a vision of 2017. Spending mornings writing and chugging tea. Going out to lunch with a good friend. Having adventures with my daughter. Romantic weekends away with my husband. Investing in myself and my business without worrying that I’m taking away from my family.

This Yule, I wish for the inner fire that motivates even when things feel scary. I wish for the consistent heart-centered focus that creates the deepest satisfaction in my life. I wish for harmony.

Also, I wish for greater peace, radical transformation, and deeper connection for the world as a whole. There is so much pain, and I choose to believe that it is the pains of growing as a global society. I wish for safety to be a right, not a privilege. I wish for comfort for those that are afraid and hurting.

Thank you for this, this new tradition of Pagan Santa that makes every Yule a little more special and meaningful. I think this is my second or third year and it makes me feel so deeply moved every time.

    • Francesca De Grandis says:

Wendy, Santa wants me to tell you that your wish inspired him to keep on fighting the good fight. It did the same for me. Your message is so beautiful and insightful and positive. On the solstice eve, it is a pleasure to read your wish. Thank you!

  12. Emmialle says:

    Dear Pagan God Santa,

My husband and I have 6 adult children, 14 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Many of them are struggling and have addiction issues. Our youngest grand daughter was born to one of our daughters who has struggled with addiction issues and alcoholism, drinking and using a lot of crack while she was pregnant.

My wish is for the best possible outcome for all of them, wisdom for my husband and I when it comes to how best to help, and peace that we have made the best decisions we could.

Thank you so much for the love and joy you spread, may it be returned to you three times over.

    Namaste

    Emmialle

    • Francesca De Grandis says:

Emmialle, i’m so sorry to hear about the struggles in your family, and I know that Santa Claus will send you many blessings to help you with that. Your spirit is so positive and loving, only good can come of that.

  13. Erin says:

    Dear Pagan Santa —
Please help me acknowledge what ties I need to leave behind in 2016, what I need to start in 2017, and to help me find home. I am so tired of looking for home in people and places that are not for me.

Also, please help me use my inner strength to help others this year.

    Thank you. Blessed be.

  14. Grethe Olsen Sagvaag says:

    Dear Santa,
I wish all that is well for my friends and family and I wish health and Good luck to my Guru. And please learn me to be more grateful in general and don’ t be so full of expectations. And help people to save animals and help people to help oneanother to make peace on our beautiful Earth. Namaste

  15. Linda aka lola says:

Dear santa i just want to live in a house i tired of being in the stteets in my camper but i dont know how to stop im tired dove u lola

    • Francesca De Grandis says:

Linda, I’m so sorry to hear about your situation. I hope the resources you need to overcome the situation become available to you. If you need insights to conquer the problem, I hope they also become available to you. I have relayed your wish to Santa, Who I truly believe is a God with the power and desire to help us change concrete things, even in our most powerless times. He has helped me when I was in truly dire straits. Blessed be, Francesca De Grandis

  16. Francesca De Grandis says:

    Dear Pagan-God Santa,

Keep my heart safe and whole.
Keep my hearth safe and whole.
    Keep my heart my home.
    Keep love in my heart.
    Make my heart love’s home.

As my spiritual journey keeps on, I find more and more peace, probably because I’m forced to, LOL. Help me along the journey. Help me remain peaceful.

A friend who just experienced terrible tragedy talked about local and global circumstances keeping her on her toes. Well said! Life is a constant barrage, so I find the only solution is to find peace no matter what’s going on. You know that’s not insensitive talk on my part, because I’ve faced horrible challenges. So peace it is, no matter what.

Not that I manage it anywhere near perfect, and I try not to suppress feelings like anger. I simply try to just feel them but not dwell on them or in them.

Help me admit my unpleasant feelings right away, and move past them as quickly as possible.

Help me continue my part in the fight against evil.

Give me the type of courage needed to move through that which makes me anxious or even terrified.

When possible, give me instead serene courage. I believe in a sort of courage that doesn’t require rallying my inner strength by hyping up my adrenaline. My adrenal system won’t take it anymore. I think there’s a courage that is serene. It can happen at a momentous moment, in the one decisive major act taken at a crossroads, said act made almost offhandedly for want of a better way to put it. It can also happen by simply taking small serene steps every day toward honorable goals, in the same offhand manner.

Help me see my own faults when I distract myself from self-examination by focusing on the faults of others.

Help me see and celebrate my beauty and not focus on other people’s faults and wrongdoings in order to distract myself from joyful, celebratory self-awareness revelry.

Help me see and revel in the beauty of my circumstances and of people around me.

As I continue to support people in their magical and spiritual journeys, and in their fight in the war between good and evil, beauty and mediocrity, help me be my best as a shaman and person.

    Bless my caregivers, especially you.

Help me continue to improve my health.

Thank You for being You, for walking with me, and for allowing me to be Your Yule elf.

Santa, blessings on You and Your Yule season and Your whole year.

—Francesca De Grandis aka Outlaw Bunny

  17. Maureen says:

Hi Santa Claus! Thank you for all the gifts you gave me this year. You are so kind and generous. I love you.

    • Francesca De Grandis says:

Maureen, I want you to know I gave Santa your message, and he was tickled pink! Actually, he was so tickled by your comment that he was pink and polkadot and curly cues! Love you!

  18. Holly Soutar says:

    Dear Pagan Santa,

It’s come to my attention that, although I have been denying it for a long time,
I am being emotionally, spiritually, and to some extent, financially, taken advantage
of and abused by a close family member who needs my constant care and assistance, and is not grateful – but a jealous grinch most of the time! I would like to gain my independence and agency in arranging a better plan to ameliorate this, as well as make strides towards the life and lifestyle I seek, which would include, perhaps, being of service to people who truly appreciate it, at least occasionally!
I know I must do all this myself, but I really could use a boost from you and your reindeer rocket-sled. And thanks for everything else you have already given me.

    • Francesca De Grandis says:

Holly, it hurts my heart that you’ve been dealing with the stuff you told Santa. I know your insightfulness, drive, and creativity will overcome the challenges, and Santa will surely add the rocket boost you request. Much love.

  19. Candy says:

    Dear Pagan Santa,

First I want to express my gratitude for all that I have and all that I’ve become. This year I released enough fear and gained the clarity to make the decision to move forward with all that I am to be the healer and artist I’m here to be. I’m so grateful. Here is my wish list for the coming year.

Help me vibrate at a frequency of LOVE every day so that I can better heal myself, others and the world.

Help me to learn, gain experience, and raise my levels of healing ability as healing is what makes my heart sing.

Help me be of service every day.

Help me market myself well so that my healing and art can reach more people.

Help me to align with others who are like-minded and have the resources to help me move forward and be successful on my path.

Help me remember that every day I need to honor my body and soul with yoga, meditation, healthy eating, Journaling and ritual so that I may release physical pain and stay healthy and strong.

Help me remember to dance, sing, play and walk barefoot in the park so that I stay inspired and joyous.

Help me to stay away from thoughts of resentment, anger, and turn that energy into love and gratitude because that is what the world needs and that is how I stay healthy and able to do my work.

Help me to be an inspiration to others so that I can help them find their paths to true joy and peace.

With grace and gratitude, I bless this letter with pure love and light. And Santa, please thank Francesca for bringing me this link. 🙂

    • Francesca De Grandis says:

Hiya Candy, I don’t know if our wish lists are so similar because you read mine and it inspired you, or if it’s just a coincidence, but in either case it’s lovely, lovely lovely that they are alike.

Santa supports us both to keep on loving and keep on growing … and keep on marketing, LOL. Blessed be.

  20. Lisa says:

    Dear Santa,

I know it’s been awhile (a long while)…but at some point I lost the magic that spark in my heart so I ask that number one of My Wish Gift List is:

    1) Even in the darkest of hours help me to see the magic, the light, and the goodness in my life as well as to be that for others when they are in the cold/dark.

    2) I ask that I may be a blessing each day in the highest capacity I can and able to while always giving from a place of giving…not because or another reason.

    3) I really would like a new home for my family and I to live in. Right now our situation with our neighbor(s) and the harassment, bullying, charges, etc. has really taken it’s toll and we need a place where each one of us can be at peace, have joy, live without adrenaline constantly pumping or fighting anger…a place where we can be safe, free, and live prosperously.

    4) Help me to learn to love me…all of me. It’s been something I struggle daily with for the last oh I don’t know…15 years of my life. I seem to be able to love others but when it comes to me it can be non-existent. Assist me with appreciating all I have to offer (and that I do have much to give/offer), my talents, abilities, and to realize that I’m worthy of love irregardless of what others have said or done to me.

    5) I would like to have fun…more fun outings, more fun indoors…fun trips, fun times in…just truckloads of fun an laughter.

    6) I really want some healing for my health. I’ve gone through a lot especially this last year and a half but please help me to progress forward and mentally gain strength as well as physically. Remind me of the beauty in being able to have pain, fight through it, and survive and thrive.

    7) Let there be more peace on our planet..more love, more understanding and joining together for the sake of our well being & humanity’s. There are very good people and organizations that give back…may I and others be of service whenever we can in the most blessed of ways.

    8) I also ask you Santa for assistance in being able to obtain the resources, money, people, luck…whatever you can supply me with to take jiu-jitsu, self defense courses by the Gracie’s and get their DVD’s, going back to school and also taking workshops and attending ones I really been wanting to go to gain knowledge, skills I need and live my passions.

    9) I would like to have a healthy, beautiful, wonderful romance in my life for once…(I will leave it at that..haha) One in which I’m respected, treated well, the energy exchange is equal, that I have a great man who is humble, has a kind giving heart, loves kids and gives back, someone I can count on….the works!

Thanks dear Santa….many kisses and a big hug to you. Lisa

    • Francesca De Grandis says:

Hello, Lisa, You are beautiful in so many ways—it is wonderful how you want to serve others. Yes, you are beautiful and deserve love, the moon, and the stars. You deserve the best possible life, and Santa is going to do everything he can to give you that. I am sorry to hear about your challenges. I love your attitude about them. Your great attitude is a potent magic unto itself. Happy holidays, Francesca

  21. Tara says:

    Dear Pagan Santa,

Please, please help me find fulfilling work and a career this year.

Help me gain self respect and self-worth.

Help me help my family respect me.

In some way, help me know I’m worthy of being loved, regardless of my past mistakes.

    Thank you, Pagan Santa.

    Tara

    • Francesca De Grandis says:

Dear Tara, One of the great things about Santa being in my pantheon is that I know he loves me, warts and all. And when I gave him your wishes, he wanted me to tell you he loves you just as you are, unconditionally. You are innately worthy of love. Blessings on your beautiful spirit.

  22. Deb says:

    Dear Pagan Santa,

What I want most is peace. I want people to love and respect each other, all living things, and the earth we share.

Please ease my daughter’s anxiety and help her see the beautiful and powerful person she is.

And Santa, if you can, please bring joy to my beloved. He has dealt with so much pain and upheaval lately, and there’s so little I can do. It would make me happy to know that he is happy.

    Blessed Yule to you, Santa!

    • Francesca De Grandis says:

Dear Deb, Santa will get busy working on your wishes and also wants you to know he has something special to give you just for yourself: he wants you to know what a beautiful person you are, and that you are a bringer of peace even when you do not see it.

  23. Dee Romesburg says:

    Dear Pagan Santa,

Please turn the hearts of all the people of the world towards love and peace.

  24. Barbara says:

I would like to spend more time in December as the prancing reindeer and less as the critter who pulls Santa’s sleigh

    • Francesca De Grandis says:

Barbara, I just got official word from the north pole: Santa says you can have as much time off for reindeer games as you want this year! And since one of my wishes (in the first comment field) is to spend time dancing with reindeers, you and I will probably end up dancing together! Big hugs!

  25. Michele Dupre says:

I ask Santa for a new love in my life. A person who loves me for who I am faults and all. A person who is kind, generous, has a sense of humor. A person who will not change me into what they think I should be like.

    • Francesca De Grandis says:

Hi, Michele, Santa told me he appreciates your wish, because he loves you exactly as you are, so wants you to be around people who do the same. Happy holidays!

  26. Erika Bleckwenn says:

    Dear Pagan Santa,

For this Yule I am asking for an end to all the loss my family has experienced this year. I am want to be prosperous and be able to make my home based business successful. I want for my kids to be healthy and happy. And above all else I want peace for my friends and family.
    Thank you Santa!!

    • Francesca De Grandis says:

Erika, from the bottom of my heart, I am sorry to hear there has been so much loss in your family. Thank you for making a beautiful wish that is an example of hope and brightness. Blessings on you and yours, Francesca

  27. Jennifer says:

    Dear Pagan Santa!

Let me first say I BELIEVE!! With that being said, I would like the chemtrail program to come to an end. I also would like to see fracking and nuclear power stopped, and replaced with free energy. I would like the tyranny of the 13 families in charge of this diminsion to be banned from Earth, as well as Monsanto and Nestle, and all evil corporations out to exploit the resources of our dear Mother. This has been my wish for several years. Please help me make it come true.

    Much love! Jennifer

  28. Kathy Crabbe says:

Dear Santa, please allow Goddess into my life to work magic all day long and help me be of service. Luv, Kathy

  29. Craig Thomas Muir says:

    Hail pagan Santa,
have the month off, nobody deserves anything anymore.

    • Francesca De Grandis says:

Hi, there, Craig, nice to hear from you, thanks for coming to my site.

I’ll give Santa your wish, even though it is grumpy. I bet he will not put coal in your stocking, anyway. ?

As for me, yeah, i hear ya, I am heartsick at some of the stuff reported in the news, just heartsick. And, as i said on one of my other Santa pages, he helps me continue to believe in goodness despite, and I know you enough to know you still believe in it too, and I know you’re still fighting the good fight! Blessings on your day, my dear.

  31. Francesca De Grandis says:

Dear Santa, here is my 2015 wish list, please,

Make me of service every day … without burning myself out.

Help me market my work well, so it can support a lot of people and make a better world.

Give me the willingness to take care of me, and remind me that self-care is a service to others.

Remind me to use my foot rubbing machine, as well as the wooden ma roller to de-stress my back.

Remind me to take days off—instead of working too hard as your Yule elf—and enjoy being outside in the snow. Remind me to wear fabulous hats and lipstick and to drink cocoa and dance with reindeers, and help me figure out how to get all that into my life.

Help me be alone, utterly at peace and fulfilled, and happy in myself and with myself.

Help me not dwell in anger at the evil in the world, because fuming and resentment will not make a better world—it will only tie me up in knots so that I have less power to be an agent for change. Help me release and still take action.

Help me see beauty, then more beauty and more beauty.

Santa, thank you for all the gifts you give me and everyone else!

    Your loyal Yule elf,
Francesca De Grandis aka Outlaw Bunny
