The Pagan Contemplative, the Ecstatic Monastic: A Seven Week Course

This class is beneficial whether you
* choose to devote yourself to pagan monasticism
* do not have as much time for spiritual practices as a monastic, but want more ongoing spiritual focus in, for example, your career, creative process, or parenting
* or need help fitting your spirituality into a busy professional and family schedule. Learn aspects of the ecstatic contemplative life, to draw on its serenity, respite, and immersion in Divine Love.

The class also reveals methodologies for the ecstatic monastic’s joy and centering into one’s true self. This material is not based in specific dogma. I work with your belief system or lack thereof. It doesn’t matter if you’re a newbie to spiritual practice or an old-timer.

We will touch the core of living mysticism, earth spirituality, inner power, and daylong connectivity with Divine love and guidance, because the curriculum is carefully constructed and well-rooted.

I spent seven years in a contemplative life, creating a pagan monastic system for myself. A lot of time has passed since, during which I honed tools, theories, and schedules to meet my ever-shifting commitments to community service, and to always bring me more deeply into self, Divine Joy, and service.

I’m an originator of modern daily pagan practice and a source for traditional ones. When Be a Goddess!was published in 1998, readers told me that their belief system was earth-centered but they needed to borrow daily spiritual practices from other traditions, and were so happy that my book had given them pagan-specific daily practices. For many years prior to the book, my oral tradition teachings shared even more of the daily practices I’d developed. Many of my methodologies became standard pagan material, and influenced a number of traditions.

I was thought odd for creating a worldview and system whereby contemplative and monastic modalities aren’t at odds with paganism and ecstatic spirituality. Eventually, my material caught on. I’m flattered by imitators but, exceptions aside, they don’t convey the essence of what took years to create, nor breathe new life into it with well-developed variations. Use your intuition about what I am saying, decide for yourself.

I cannot express how excited I am to share material I’ve never taught in a class before.

For you interested in the Druid training I give: There’s little overtly Druidic material in this class, but it’s truly part of the Druid training. My visioning (mytho-poetic) reveals Druids to be the original monastics, an ecstatic fellowship.
